What is included in the muslin duvet cover set?

Our sets are put together to make a coherent bed:

• Single sets (135x200 cm & 155x220 cm): one duvet cover and one pillowcase 80x80 cm.
• Double set (200x200 cm): one duvet cover and two pillowcases 80x80 cm.

Note: Further pillowcase sizes – 40x80, 40x60, 30x50 and more – are available in the “Muslin pillowcases” category as sets of 2.

Why three layers instead of two?

Most muslin bedding on the market is two-layer and weighs 110–120 g/m². In white and light colours the duvet shows through, and the thin layers survive fewer washes. Our Seralino muslin has three layers and 180 g/m²: opaque, with a full drape – and still feather-light, because air stays between the layers.

Does the duvet still fit after washing?

Yes. Muslin shrinks in the first wash – that is the nature of the weave. We have already factored the shrinkage into the cut: the stated size is the size after washing. 135x200 stays 135x200, wash after wash.

Is muslin bedding for summer or winter?

Both. The air between the three layers lets moisture escape in summer and insulates lightly in winter. If you mainly want coolness on the skin in a heatwave, our percale is the better choice – muslin is the softer, more relaxed option for the whole year.

Do I have to iron muslin?

No – and you shouldn't. The fine crinkle is muslin's hallmark of quality. Ironing flattens it and makes the fabric flat and stiff. Out of the machine, into the dryer on low, shake out, make the bed.

How do I care for the set?

Machine wash at 40 °C, liquid detergent without bleach or brighteners, no fabric softener. Tumble-dry safe on low – that is when the fabric is softest. Muslin gets softer with every wash without linting or pilling.

What closures do the covers have?

Duvet cover and pillowcase close with a concealed YKK® zip in matching colour. No buttons, no hotel closure – and nothing that stretches out at the opening.
